BRUCE GRAHAM

Chief Executive Officer

As Chief Executive Officer of SafeEVAC, Bruce spearheads the company’s mission to save lives. With a rich operational background, he most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer at Himes Associates, LTD. Himes, a distinguished Professional Services and Owners’ Representative firm, boasts over 40 years of expertise in highly technical project and program management, development management, and distributed portfolio management.

Prior to this, Bruce served as President of Design and Construction for Johnson Controls. Here he built an entire service line that culminated in managing a substantial annual spend of $2.3 billion leading a large team of consummate professionals. His 25 years in general contracting and over 15 years in corporate services showcase a track record of leading teams to achieve high-quality results in conjunction with significant cost savings.

Innovation and leadership are Bruce’s forte and they align seamlessly with SafeEVAC’s mission. The combination of central focus on security manufacturing with a vast network including firms in the architecture, engineering, and construction verticals, result in Bruce being a crucial asset for SafeEVAC. He will lead with a priority on goals for operational excellence and strong business expansion.

Bruce holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master of Ecological Design with a focus on Environmental Design and Application from the San Francisco Institute of Architecture. His commitment to sustainability is evident in his role as a LEED-Accredited professional, contributing to global trends in sustainability on the CoreNet Global Advisory Panel and the IFMA Global Trends Forum Advisory Panel. He has served as a founding member and past board member of the Emerge Alliance and provided advisory insights in the global lighting industry.

Beyond his professional achievements, Bruce finds joy in various outdoor activities, including boating, hiking, and the hands-on satisfaction of building new creations. As SafeEVAC’s Chief Executive Officer, Bruce’s multifaceted expertise plays a pivotal role in steering the company towards success, ensuring its commitment to operational excellence.

ERIC SCHUE

President & General Counsel

As SafeEVAC’s President and General Counsel, Eric Schue brings a wealth of legal expertise and strategic insight to the team. Prior to joining SafeEVAC on a full-time basis, Eric was a capital partner with Dentons Bingham Greenebaum, LLP.  Dentons is a global practice and one of the largest law firms in the world.

With a robust background as a corporate attorney, Eric specializes in corporate and business formation, contract drafting and negotiation, and corporate governance—key areas crucial for a startup business. His extensive experience positions him as a valuable asset in navigating legal complexities and steering SafeEVAC towards growth.

Eric earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and German from the University of Notre Dame. He further honed his legal skills at Indiana University, where he attended law school, preparing him for the intricate legal landscape he now navigates.

At SafeEVAC, Eric’s role extends beyond traditional legal counsel; he plays a pivotal part in shaping the company’s structural and strategic direction. His commitment to utilizing his expertise ensures that SafeEVAC is well-prepared for the challenges and opportunities that come with growth.

As a seasoned legal professional, Eric Schue’s presence in SafeEVAC underscores the company’s dedication to excellence in legal matters and its commitment to fostering a secure and thriving future for emergency evacuation solutions.

JENEAN HAMPTON

Chief Operating Officer

Jenean Hampton is SafeEVAC’s Chief Operating Officer, Corporate Secretary and member of the board. She directs development of crucial system software and hardware components, drawing on 35+ years’ experience across government, corrugated packaging, defense and automotive sectors to place SafeEVAC at the forefront of emergency response solutions. Her career includes positions as plant manager, sales representative, production supervisor and quality manager. While serving in the U.S. Air Force Jenean wrote computer code, led the hardware/software upgrade of an electronic warfare system, and directed ground/in-flight tests of E-3 Airborne Warning and Control System software. As Kentucky Lieutenant Governor (2015-2019) Jenean initiated an entrepreneurship contest for high school students, helped create an after-school STEM program for middle school girls, and helped establish an organization to foster collaboration among Kentucky’s aerospace and aviation companies. During her term she was active in veterans affairs, emergency preparedness, youth suicide prevention, and education, visiting over 200 schools. Jenean earned a B.S. Industrial Engineering (Wayne State University), an M.B.A. (William E. Simon Graduate School of Business), and an Extra Class amateur radio operator license.

MICHAEL DAY

Co-Founder, Co-Inventor, EVP, Sales & Marketing

Mike’s entrepreneurial journey began in Henderson, Kentucky, as a teenager funding his way through community college, earning an associate in arts degree. In Lexington, he worked in the restaurant industry while completing his Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing at the University of Kentucky. Now residing in Evansville, Indiana, happily married and a proud father of three, he continues to excel in his sales and marketing career.

As the Co-Founder/Co-Inventor and Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing of SafeEVAC, Inc., Mike is dedicated to the company’s mission. Focused on developing life-saving technologies, Mike actively participates in intellectual property filings with the USPTO and orchestrates crucial meetings with influential entities.

Mike’s diverse expertise spans real estate investments, industrial supplies, advertising, signage, and telecommunications. Notably, as National Sales Manager for MC Group, he led the company in national enterprise sales. As CLEC Account Executive 3 for Windstream Communications, he was large enterprise rep of the year in 2015, and continually recognized as a top producer, and winner of three company paid Elite trips during his telecommunications career.

Beyond his professional roles, Mike is an advocate for community engagement, faith, and family. Over the years, he has inspired collaboration among mayors, fostered unity among churches and non-profits, and served in impactful roles within organizations like The Gideons International and Kairos Prison Ministries.

Mike’s legacy is one of making a tangible difference in the world. When not immersed in his professional responsibilities, he dedicates time to family, fitness, and community service, embodying his belief in encouraging others to make a positive impact.

MICHAEL SANDEFUR

As the Co-Founder, Executive Vice President, and Chairman of the Board, of SafeEVAC, Mike leads with a wealth of experience and a commitment to innovation. In addition to his role at SafeEVAC, he serves as the President of Thermal Wall Technologies, LLC, and presides over Big Creek Wildlife Foundation, a majestic land conservancy in North Carolina.

Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Environmental Protection from Ball State University, where he earned the distinction of The Outstanding Senior of Ball State University. His educational journey includes an Associate of Science degree from the University of Kentucky and a Diploma in Solar Mechanics from Southwestern Technical Institute in North Carolina, specializing in alternative energy technologies.

From independent work in the solar industry to a prominent position at Ball Plastics, where he managed engineering and process management, Mike’s career trajectory showcased his entrepreneurial spirit. His environmental expertise became evident as he assumed roles such as Manager of Environmental Affairs at Southern Indiana Gas & Electric Company (SIGECO) and later as the Director of Environmental Affairs for Vectren, managing the companies environmental planning, policy, and compliance.

In 2002, Mike transitioned to independent ventures, focusing on ecological land development, real estate, and wetland restoration. His leadership at Wetland Services, Inc. propelled the company to become a leading force in wetland and stream delineation industry, conducting more delineations than any company in the U.S.

Since 2014, Mike has directed his efforts toward innovation, resulting in numerous patented technologies such as a holistic construction method for energy-efficient structures and inventions related to emergency evacuation systems and notification.

In his capacity as Founder and Executive Vice President of SafeEVAC, Mike not only brings groundbreaking technologies to the forefront but also contributes his extensive environmental advocacy experience. His leadership roles include Co-chairman of the Evansville Chamber Environmental Committee, Indiana Legislative Environmental Quality Service Council, Air Sub Committee Member, chaired the twice Chairman of Indiana Electric Association, Environmental Policy Group; attended White House Energy Policy discussions for the Indiana 8th District, Treasurer of Evansville Clean Cities, and participation in various committees and advisory boards, underscoring his dedication to environmental stewardship.

Mike’s legacy is one of innovation and entrepreneurship, aligning seamlessly with SafeEVAC’s mission to revolutionize emergency evacuation systems.

PAUL MEDCALF

Chief Relationships Officer

After serving six years in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War era as a Russian linguist for the NSA, Paul then devoted his life to his family, his church, and to working in upper-level management with industries such as Bucyrus Erie, and Westinghouse Electric. He later was a Plant Manager, International Sales Manager, and U.S. Managing Director (for Rhombus Rollen Germany)-all with FKI of England; VP/General Manager Canadian/U.S. operations for Standex International; President North American Trio Pines and finally retiring early from Faultless Caster to help others improve their business dream initiatives. He has logged over a million flight miles conducting international business.

Paul next moved into starting his own businesses in material handling as well as consulting which he still does today. He loves to help entrepreneurs grow at all stages and has been involved in several U.S. based startups.

He has also devoted considerable time to helping not for profits such as CJ’s Bus, Habitat for Humanity, The Red Cross, and Joni and Friends, Sustainable Business Ventures, various Departments of Corrections, Churches Embracing Offenders, Kairos Prison Ministry, etc. He loves supporting all southwestern Indiana area universities such as through ValleyHop.org collaborations, etc. He is a “two degrees of separation” master networker and was even able to connect Crane Naval Depot in South Central Indiana to USI in 2006 which has resulted in millions of dollars of mutual benefit and is still growing well today.

Paul likes to encourage other entrepreneurs and to open doors for opportunities through collaboration with worthwhile key players. He is a conservative Christian who values all lives and is a strong U.S. Patriot.

COREY GASPARD

VP of Software Development

Corey Gaspard is an accomplished executive with a deep-rooted background in software development, bringing over 20 years of experience to his role as Vice President of Software Development. His career is distinguished by a consistent track record of developing, deploying, and maintaining sophisticated software systems for various esteemed companies. With a strategic and solution-oriented approach, Corey excels in guiding cross-functional teams, fostering the creation and implementation of innovative IT applications, and driving technological advancements.

In his role, Corey has been pivotal in leading teams through large-scale technology projects, adeptly balancing time, budget, and quality considerations. His expertise encompasses overseeing the full life cycle of software development, from initial conception to final deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technological trends. Corey’s approach to leadership is marked by a commitment to mentoring, fostering professional growth among team members, and maintaining transparent communication channels within teams and with stakeholders.

Throughout his career, Corey has assumed various leadership roles, where he has directed comprehensive technology strategies, managed cloud-based infrastructure migrations, and developed strong professional relationships with key clients and business partners. His experience includes spearheading the development and execution of web and mobile applications, underlining his proficiency in adapting to and leveraging emerging technologies.

Corey’s professional journey reflects a blend of technical acumen and strategic foresight, enabling him to deliver robust software solutions that align with organizational goals and client needs. His approach to software development is rooted in continuous improvement and efficiency enhancement, ensuring that projects meet evolving market demands and client expectations.

TAMRA TURNER

Executive Assistant

Tammra Turner is the talented Executive Assistant of SafeEVAC, Inc. She has extensive experience with all administrative tasks, including scheduling, organizing, accounts payable, and correspondence. As a senior assistant, Tammra has exceled in this position with the challenges of working remotely, to promote functional working relationships that require integrity, reliability, professional communication, and abilities that enhance the company’s objectives. She provides detailed administrative support to the Executive team, demonstrating her meticulous attention and ability to organize and operational aspects. Her willingness to learn outside of her comfort zone, positions her to becoming to even more valuable to the company.

Tammra has a proven executive management track record with 25 years of experience Entrepreneurial experience.

Tammra graduated from Western Kentucky University with an Associate of Arts degree in Small Business Administration, a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in Social and Behavioral Science and is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Organization Leadership.

In addition to her duties as an executive assistant, Tammra is also a licensed and ordained minister, active in many local organizations, and loves spending time with her family. She created her very on non-profit focusing empowering others through teaching the Bible and encourage those who seem to have little to know hope. She volunteers time gives freely of her time and talents those in need, but especially those of single parented homes and the elderly. She believes that nothing is too small to give when someone is in need.

DR. ERIC DIETZ

Dr. Dietz’s research interests include measurement and optimization of emergency response, homeland security and defense, energy security, and engaging veterans in higher education. As a Director of the Purdue Military Research Institute, Dr. Dietz organizes faculty to involve current and former military in Purdue research with focus on defense and security projects to increase Purdue’s involvement in national defense. As a Director of the Purdue Homeland Security Institute, Dr. Dietz organizes interdisciplinary homeland security research including increasing the impact of Purdue research on society, and organizing interdisciplinary projects within the university. Prior to his current responsibilities, Eric was on loan from Purdue to Governor Mitch Daniels to serve as the founding Executive Director for the Indiana Department of Homeland Security, a new state agency responsible for emergency planning, training, fire and building safety, and disaster response for Indiana citizens. During this period, Eric led Indiana’s response to seven Presidential Major Disasters and Emergency Declarations, which included restoration and recovery of critical infrastructure. Eric also led the creation of the Indiana Intelligence Fusion Center and the Indiana Fire Training System both new government functions that were created with new laws and funding. Retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel from the U.S. Army in 2004 with 22 years of service, Dr. Dietz led Army Acquisition and research programs throughout his career meet needs for military power systems, chemical sensors and command and control technology. An Indiana native, Eric graduated in 1984 from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology after earning a bachelor of science in chemical engineering. He also earned a master’s of science from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 1986 and a PhD in chemical engineering in 1994 from Purdue University.

Dr. Thomas James received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering and an Executive MBA from Marquette University. He earned an MS in Materials Science from the University of Wisconsin and a BS Mechanical Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Dr. James is a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and is a registered Professional Engineer (PE). He is owner of a consulting and investing company, Plutus Holdings LLC, and co-owner of Sirikwa African Adventures LLC, which is a travel company in Tanzania, Africa and owner of Framefit, which is SASS company focused on the eyecare market. His major interests are new product development, manufacturing, and global business ventures. As a Full Professor in the Department of Engineering Management at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, he teaches courses in materials science, accounting, finance, and entrepreneurial studies. Dr. James is also an avid inventor with over two dozen patents, and he has several publications in peer reviewed journals related to his research in biomechanical systems. Prior to joining academia, he worked in the consumer products industry for 13 years where he was the Director of Engineering at Milwaukee Tool and later became the Senior Vice President of Global Engineering for the power tools division of Techtronic Industries, headquartered in Hong Kong, where he lived and worked internationally.

Inventor of the Infomercial, Shark on Shark Tank, Fortune 100 Investor, Philanthropist, Author; Kevin has done it all. Kevin is one of the principal pioneers of the “As Seen On TV” Industry. As the owner of AsSeenOnTV Inc. and AsSeenOnTv.com, Kevin has launched over 1,000 products in over 100 countries in dozens of languages, creating over $6 billion in global sales. As media consumption transitioned to digital, in anticipation of the explosive potential, Kevin sold all of his AsSeenOnTV assets. He then transitioned to digital media and started investing in public and private companies. Kevin now sits on the board of directors for multiple companies and has created over $10 billion in value.

Brian served as the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Deputy Assistant Secretary for State and Local Enforcement. As head of the Office for State and Local Law Enforcement (OSLLE), Brian led the Department’s primary efforts to engage and collaborate with state, local, tribal, territorial, and campus law enforcement stakeholders across the country on critical issues, concerns, and “emerging threats”. Through this outreach, OSLLE worked to ensure the issues, most important to the Nation’s first line responders and enforcers were fully understood and addressed. This included sharing information, resources, and Department activities; and informing DHS policies, strategies, programs, and initiatives with the collaboration and recommendations of law enforcement. While at DHS, Brian led several initiatives in partnership with Federal, state, and local agencies in developing a National framework for public safety, National security, and the humanitarian crisis. This includes the Southwest Border intelligence surge to address transnational criminal activity, counter- UAS outreach, education and communication on soft targets and crowded places to name a few.

Prior to joining DHS, Brian spent 14 years serving as the Dean of Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, and Counterterrorism at Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC) and as a Police supervisor at the Waukesha Police Department for a decade. Brian has been a frequent speaker on various law enforcement subjects, at the local, state, and National level and a media expert. He also has received numerous leadership, professional and civic awards.

Richard “Rich” Widup is currently the President and Founder of The Widup Group, a Veteran- Owned Enterprise Security Risk Consultancy dedicated to supporting businesses of all sizes evaluate and mitigate security risks.

Rich has over 22 years of executive security management experience, formerly serving as the Group Head of Security for Reckitt, a FTSE 15 fast moving consumer goods company. Rich also spent over 14 years in the pharmaceutical industry where he served in a variety of responsible security positions where he developed and managed a wide array of security initiatives responsible for the protection of people, assets, products and company reputation. Rich, who is board certified in Security Management and Fraud Examinations, is a Past President and former Chairman of the Board for ASIS International. Rich currently serves on the CSO Center of Excellence Content Committee and ASIS Standards and Guidelines Commission.
